Hey everyone!!!

Welcome to the new UL blog network (for VIP members only!)

In my blog I will try to keep the UL community as up to date as possible with site updates and features too!

Where have all the good blogs gone? 2/2/2009 5:13:00 PM

It's like a ghost town around here now...looks like I will have to come out of my shell...Let's see, what's good...ahhh yes...

UFC 94 - Georges St-Pierre / BJ Penn 2.

Are you KIDDIN' me!???  This was the fight for the ages - one that we will all remember forever - the night that something special was going to happen...

And then the fight started - GSP dominates Penn to the point it was embarrassing.  Penn just could not stop the Canadian from taking any guard he wanted.  All of his punches were landing - GSP's ground games was SICK.

The fight that was supposed to be never really was...

I am very glad the ref stopped the fight between the 4th and 5th round or Penn could have really gotten hurt...sometimes it's best to take a step back so you can take 2 steps forward and they did the right thing.

Can't wait for Lesnar / Mir 2!!!

May have been a different fight if St-Pierre wasn't given a Vasoline rub down.LOL. Would it really have mattered? Who knows. Just crappy to see a guy with his ability do that.

Vasoline rub down's are a part of MMA / Boxing now-a-days...EVERY fighter does it.

Yea but to rub down your shoulders and back is a little suspect to say the least. GSP is still a great fighter and I have no doubt that he would've dominated regardless. Speaking of fights I hope I'm not the only boxing fan still standing but did anybody else watch the beat down clinic that Mosely put on Margarito. I guess Margarito couldn't land his late fight bombs w/o the plaster in his gloves lol.

After the whole glove tape issues margarito looked like a differant fighter. He didnt have the snap on his punches that we've seen the last few fights. Didnt ecpect Mosley to look that clean in the ring though. Your not the only boxing fan still alive! I watch every fight they show LOL

Who's left for GSP? Nate Marquardt?
2/5/2009 11:47:00 PM
GSP is a freak of nature, dont get me wrong.. but beating up a guy in the 155 lb division when he should be fighting himself in the 185lb division isnt much of a victory. Rumors say GSP weighed over 187 lbs fight night, while Penn entered weighing 168-169 lbs. A 27-30 lb weight advantage will make anyone, especially some1 as good as GSP, look unstoppable.

We'll see how he fairs when he fights some1 his own size IE: Anderson Silva.

I dont like that fight for GSP. Anderson Silva=Baddest man on planet

Silva would own GSP.......As for JM saying vaseline rubdowns are a part of MMA...I say BS, not the way he got that rub down....Getting vaseline on your shoulders and back makes it hard wrestle, does it not?

but makes it fun when wrestling the old lady lol..
