If you are a baseball fan and own an Xbox One, or just aren't that into playing out a game of baseball over a console, I'd like to draw your attention to Out Of The Park (PC/Mac)

It's a baseball sim game, so you pretty much assume the role of GM for your team.

I have been playing the game for almost a year now, and it's extremely addicting, especially online.

Now, my purpose of this post is to see if we can A) have enough interest to host a league here and B) if we do, see if we can go in on a volume purchase of OOTP15.

The online league would probably only sim 2-3 times a week, so there's not a huge time requirement.

For this first (hopeful) league, I'd just like to do an MLB league, where guys can choose their favorite teams. Keep it simple to begin.

If you're interested or would like to add anything else to the discussion about OOTP, please feel free to add below. Once we get enough guys, I'll set up a league page where we can host our forums, at the very least.

i could get down with this... depending on cost for the Mac version of the game...

would it be possible to do a player draft though, with a budget, instead of just controlling an MLB club? (keep in mind, i've never played the game and don't know much about it, but i love me some player drafts, like fantasy sports).

Yeah it would.

yeah, that stuff can be done. you can add a cap etc.

i mean there is a ton, almost seems like unlimited options for how we could set it up.

IMO, key is to find something that works for us and that is simple.

with that said, you get 2 keys per purchase. so juice, you and your bro could split the cost of the game and each use 1 key. schultz and i did that last year. works out well.

would be great if we got 12 guys or so to run in this league, everyone could split the cost with someone else.

i'll check with him, but he may not be super interested in baseball stuff... if someone else wants to go half on a purchase, holler at me.

is this more like a simulator type game, where you set your lineups, control your roster, work with salaries, etc, but don't actually 'play' the games?

That's a shame, although, only a couple of games a week means a super long league...not sure how that would work...

This is a couple advances a week, when you advance you typically move 7-10 in-game days.

Well that makes a lot more sense.  I'd still be up for it if you could get enough to be viable.
