A friend of mine won the Draft Dream Sweepstakes through the NFL yesterday.

His prize consists of:
1) 5 day/4 night trip to New York
2) Round Trip transportation to and from the airport in New York
3) Hotel room for 3 people
4) 3 passes to the NFL Draft luncheon
5) 3 VIP passes to Day 1 of the Draft
6) Announcing a pick
7) 2 guests get to act as a card runners for the Draft

I am so excited.

We may get to go to the Madden 2010 cover athlete announcement event also.

Only one problem though, I am afraid of flying.

Any idea in how to get over that?

lol thats sweet.

i hate flying, but all you can do is just get on the plane and go..

and just hope your pilot doesnt have a heart attack and that he can also land the plane in water.. :)

FIDDY! You are in time out!  It's ok Loaf.  Get drunk ON THE PLANE, that should help.  Actually, I hate to fly to.  I have not flown since BEFORE 9/11.  Good luck my man.  OR, just drive a day earlier than your friends.

If you are flying into New York expect delays so dont get angry when it happens just bring something to entertain yourself while wating. Flying is safer now than before so dont be worried. I have flown through some serious conditions and was suprised how good the pilots are at flying. Thats their job and they are good at it.

My mom used to be a flight attendant so I fly for free, still... one flight it got rough, i'm talking flight attenants looking around. I haven't been the same since... I rarely fly even though I know it's stupid because its one of the safest ways to travel. One thing that helps... go to your doctor and tell them you have anxiety issues when it comes to flying and ask for xanax. I take it when I fly now and it usually puts me to sleep,  a beer with it will knock you out.

Flying isn't that bad but since all my destinations have been in California I wouldn't know what real turbulance is like. Maybe take a sleeping pill right before you get on the plane, that'll knock you out until you arrive. Or like some of these guys said, just get drunk on the plane. Both of those would work.

Thats freaking sweet. I hate flying too. I dont drink before flights it gets my head all messed up. Anti anxiety pills work, also just relax as much as you can and remember that the pilot wants to die as little as you do and you should be all set.
