When Executive Director of NFLPA, DeMaurice Smith, was asked on the seriousness of  a LOCKOUT after 2010, NO FOOTBALL IN 2011, Smith responded, "on a scale of 1 to 10 it is a 14".

Doew that mean no Madden?

Do you really think the netwworks would let the NFL have a lockout...or even the governement?

It's a Lose-Lose situation.  I don't see this happening.  Look how long it's taken hockey to come back around since their lockout.  Hopefully other leagues have learned.

I doubt the NFL is losing sleep over this, I read that even if there was a lockout they still get 5 billion from TV contracts. What kind of a deal is that?

theyve been telling players for the past two seasons to save money because a lock out was very likely to happen

I wonder if they will use replacement players...Im going to start getting back into playing shape. If Warner can go from bagging groceries to the HoF- I can too.

We can get guys like Juice, Bennett, BOE, or Fiddy to be head coaches in the league since they are pretty good at calling X's and O's.

Ummmm, it's a player lockout dude not staff or front office. The Coaches have nothing to do with this.

Bite me dude! I don't remember during the scab season coaches coming back to coach scabs.   Either way, it's my comment to have.

In 82 and 87 there were replacements and coached by the real deal coaches.

Its considered a "lock out" (and correct me if I am wrong) because the stopage will take place with out a collective bargaining agreement in place. A strike happens with contract, but when one side wants to change it or negotiate.

But thats why we have the UFL....viva la Locomotives!
