Author Excessive celebration

Brett Favre is always excessively celebrating- weather its sprinting down the field, picking up his teammate or jumping as high as he can to bump hips with a teammate...but Miles Austin jumps as high as he can and gets a flag? Its not Miles' fault he can jump OVER his teammate and Farve can slide 2 sheets of paper under his feet when he jumps.

Stupid Penalties.

Stupid penalties is correct when your lead the league in them. Comparing Brett to what Miles did is night and day. Chest bumps, pats on the back or the ass are totally different from teen spirit competition moves like what Miles, Whitten and Columbo did. Those moves were looked upon as scripted moves and thus the flag was thrown. If he wants to play leap frog and do triple axles after a touchdown he can do them on his sideline with his team not in the field of play as the rules states. This is a new day and age in the NFL and you have to learn to adapt. No props, no going to the ground and no involvement of teammates to give the appearance of an over the top celebration.

But then again the Cowboys are America's team and they can do no wrong right?

So its Ok for Favre to jump up and celebrate with his teammate but not Miles? You want to flag Columbo for rolling around in the endzone--fine. Then flag Favre every time he picks up a receiver and slaps him on the behind over his shoulder too. And dont give me the team orchestrated extra cheer mode stuff, because old man Brett will hobble out of the huddle but sprint to the endzone to celebrate too.

I live in America, An I can't stand Clownboys, so bah, they are not America's team....Their team from top to bottom is lame, Head coach to the 53rd chump on their roster

Then Ben Rape-a-burger, Kevin Colb, and various other QB's would be guilty and star player too for doing just bumps which not not breaking the spirit of the rule. But to do Johnson street Boys Club tumbling routines and high flying acts (Miles Austin jumping over Roy Williams while he was already celebrating) while a teammate is already celebrating then it will be flagged for excessive every freaking time.

Good to know.... Eyeing the receiver 30 yards down the field in full sprint, to jump...at the same, turning to "touch wallets" is not considered choreographed.

But throwing gang signs at the opposing teams home crowd is considered..."already celebrating",  Even though he had no clue that Miles was going to go all "Jesse White Tumbler" on him. Simply jumping higher than everyone else should not be a penalty.

That's like throwing a flag for screaming "OH YEAH TOUCHDOWN YEAH!!!" really loud.

I see you are very miss informed on this subject and I am very offended with the gang sign remarks when you obviously no nothing about what you saw or better yet watch college football. Roy Williams is a Texas Longhorn and he was representing his alma mater, the University of Texas with the "Hook'em Horn" symbol. Let alone the flag was thrown for Sam Hurd being involved too when the rules states that is a no, no. "C'Mon Man"!!!!!!!

Don't be offended Derrick, I am well aware of the college Roy Willams attended...tongue and cheek my man. Don't dish a serving of "Rape-a-burger" if you cant handle a side of thug life. On campus and in the right setting, it looks like college humor and fun batering. As a millionare professional he looks just like Terrel Suggs and his series of sign language mumbo jumbo he throws up after doing his job, a thuggy punk. Be it the Hookem' sign in Texan and in college...it can translate to something else for others.

This whole statement doesn't make any sense. It wasn't a gang sign at all and Ben is a raspiest and got away with it more than once. Don't worry he will be dumb enough to do it again. And what exactly is "thug life"?

ITS A JOKE! And it is a gang sign...its also a hand gesture used by Texas Longhorns.
And Rapist go to jail. Ben just gets his play in  with groupies that get buyers remorse. But this isnt about Ben and his lack of talent off the field. Its about stupid penalties that are not fair and show bais toward veteran record holders and not young kids celebrating TDs. Im not a Cowboy fan- but I think they were jobbed with the call. I am a Favre hater and I hate the special treatment he gets.

Troy Aikman is a Vikings fan?

Last week when DeAngelo Hall ran back an 80 yard pick 6 and slid to two knees in exhausted celebration he called for an exessive celebration flag for the premeditated pose. frown

Yet yesterday Adrian Peterson scores on a short yardage "break afew tackles I'm Adrian Peterson and thats how I roll" TD, pushes a guy off of him..a delay in the call because it was sorta close...then gets up...THEN drops to two knees in exhaulted celebration.

Troy :Thats Adrian being the power back he is. No call for a flag? blush

I hate Troy Aikman the color commentator.....that is all. Rant Over.

That and why was Favre limping after being popped in the Jaw? And don't tell me its cus of his ankle because he was running and gunning and doing his thing. Favre Theatrics hopefully are over for good.
