Is running the two minute drill once the game has started considered "sim play"? Are we playing the college tempo way or we playing the true NFL style of play were the two minute drill is only should be used in the last two minutes in each half or when you are down by 14 or more in the 2nd half? Also the play calling: Can you run the same plays over and over seeing that it gotten you a good amount of yards or do you actually have to switch things up and call different plays no matter what? I would like the feedback to all owner please. This is not a complaint, Im just trying to get things clear going forwards. Thanks and I look forward to the responses

As far as starting 2 minute drill goes early I've seen some NFL play do it but obviously it's rare. Now running the same plays over and over isn't Sim play since I can remember back in the day. I think maybe running the same play after couple of different plays would be fine for me cuz once they get back to that same play I should be able to stop it. Again my opinion!

Yes I've seem them also, like philly for example but they don't do it evey play and every drive. And yea I agree you could run the same plays you like but at least switch it up a little. Try to make it as close as possible as what you see on TV on Sunday's. Yea it has been a long time. Look toward to playing against you

i see it as an up tempo style of game! Teams do it all of the time! look at philly for instance they run a no huddle pretty much all game! i mean yeah when you have a lead late in the game they dont do it as much but it is still used a lot... oh and by the way i am the guy who has caused this thread and also i ran a ton of different plays and i use a lot of the play clock not just snap it right of way... they all look the same out of shotgun is the problem... and for the rest of the owners i have to play i run a no huddle offense the entire game and apologize if you dont like it! i am def a beatable player i mean 30 mins before this game i got waxed playing Electrickeeper by a score of 34-3!

Once again I'm not saying the no huddle can't be used, NFL teams don't use a no huddle offense from start to finish. That's the point im trying to make. It is pyshicaly impossible for them to do that. If this is trying to be a "sim league" then using the no huddle offense from start to finish is not sim. ONCE AGAIN IM NOT SAYING YOU CANT USE IT BUT IT HAS TO BE USED PROPERLY TO KEEP IT FROM SIM PLAY

ima keep playing how i play! and finest quick question.. why didnt you bring this up last season when you beat me by a couple TDs? is it because i fianlly beat you and you have to bring this up thats kinda funny! cant take a loss like a man always have to say something like "the guy didnt play the right way" or "the guy got a lucky fumble late in the game"... take the loss and move on! no one else has/had a problem with it last year or so far this season

It was a lucky fumble, you can't controls fumbles in madden, so to me getting a fumble is luck, and I don't even remember playing you that was a whole year ago . I'm im multiple leagues and see many styles of play. And how you play is not sim plan and simple. So you deserve neutral or negative FB cause your not playing by the rules. ONCE AGAIN THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO ABOUT A LOSEING , I don't care is just a game. It's like we get money for winning this league. If I'm going to take the time out my day to play someone, they could at least play by the rules

DAMM talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, when have I ever said you can't run a no huddle offense? I just said it has to be you used properly to maintain  the "sim play"

I'm going to address the initial post, the rest of this "discussion" is just derailing and I would suggest that it stops.

We try to have as few rules as possible so guys can play different styles. If we made rules that told guys how to/how not to play, the league would suck because everyone would be playing the same way. Just like teams in the NFL play differently, we encourage that here too, as long as its realistic and respectful of the sport and opponent.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with running a no huddle. Using it every play of every offensive drive is probably too much, especially given that the game situation may dictate a different tactic.

As far as running the same play over and over. If the play is exploiting a glitch or problem within the game, it's obviously bad. But if it's just taking advantage of poor defense, not a problem. It's not the offense's responsibility to stop themselves when they are driving, that's on the defense.

I also cannot stress enough how important communication is in these instances. This is a discussion that should be happening between the guys playing. There are reasons that we require headsets, and defusing situations like this before they arise is one of them. We're all adults here; lack of communication should not be as big of an issue as it has been recently.

Every drive is just cheese in my book. Every situation is different.
